Default Recordable airbag modules

Trying to find out some info before I purchase a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. Does anyone know if Ram has recordable airbag modules? It is the the air bag module is the vehicle's “computer” that controls air bag deployment and records data if there is a crash and even if there is not a crash. We are looking at purchasing this truck for my father and he saw a TV show about how the GM trucks record all sorts of data. Any info is appreciated. To me a truck is a truck, but it is important to him. Thanks, MJ

Default RE: Recordable airbag modules

theECM will record parameters of what the engine is doing for a few seconds at a time so if you go to the dealer with a no run issue they can hook up to the ECM and see if you may have put a programmer on the truck that possably eraced the memory.

as far as the airbags and what it is that he's wanting to know. . . .I personaly think it is just a touch of hysteria. the only ways for someone to know if anythings been done to the truck is either hook it up to the computer or look and see if the title is clear, or carfax.
