Are you sure about that decision? Talk to people who have owned a Powerstroke engine. In three years and 20,000 miles, I replaced 3 turbos, and intercooler (blew a hole in the side of it going up a small hill) and 5 EGR vavles. I never got better than 11 mpg not matter where or how I drove. I was not alone at the dealer. The rest of the truck is bullet proof, Fords are usually 800 to 1000 lbs heavier than Chevy or Dodge because of the beefier components...but...if it don't run it doesn't matter how long the rest of the truck lasts. Now that was a 6.0 PSD, my buddies who now have the 6.4's are screaming bloody murder about the mileage, some getting under 10 mpg. Nice trucks, I have owned 4 of them, but not again unless Ford stops dictating induction system design to engine manufacturers like they do with International (Navistar)
Go ahead..take a chance...three out of four Ford PSDs have no problem..but what if YOU get the One out of four.
Just my opinion.
For the record..I am not sure I like the pictured new design of the 2009 Ram, it is way to vanilla, looks like everybody elses truck.
I think its nice...i would not go running to trade mine in even if i could afford it...lol...I agree that all trucks now have similar looks and it would be nice of dodge to set a new standard but in comparison to the rest its nice and it looks elegant. I hope they do something with the interior. I love my center console , but the dash needs some luxury on it. My friends' tundra has a beautiful interior. And remember the price difference between rams, tundras, f150, and any chevys.
For those who say it looks like a Toyota, blah, blah. Toyota took Dodges lines a few years ago, you have it the wrong way.
I know in a year or a little more I have to make a decision, new Ram or Challenger. The Challenger is a challenge because I would not want to drive it in the winter, meaning another car. I am leaning towards Challenger, but if the new Ram can pump out 380-400HP that could sway me.

I don’t care for the looks, but is that a storage box of some kind in the top bed rails? If you look close (I used the magnifier on my computer) you will see a key hole and a door. I kind of like that idea if it is what I think. Otherwise, I like the looks of my ’07 much better and will run her for years to come. Red
i think the front ofthe truckdoesnt look good when u look at the back of the cab at the same time....its proabably just because its a quad cab though.......a reg cab would proabaly fix that problem....
