2009 Dodge Ram!
1500 CTD??!?!? I take everything back and plan on trading in as soon as possible... well, maybe.. well, not really, too much work going into my baby as we speak, but if I were going with an 09, CTD 1500 would be the way I would go...
there is just something about the front of the truck that does not look right. Almost like they tried to stick a light pickup truck front on a full size one. Does anyone else see that or is it my eyes? Don't like the 2009 at all.

It's OK, but just OK, at least by the picture we are looking at here. If that is the true design of the 09, it is not exciting enough for me, I need a more distinct look to make me want the 09. A truck could have all the best technical and functional features in the world, but if I don't like the styling..I won't buy it, kinda like the way I am with our female counterparts. But that is just my opinion, others are free to express thenselves any way they want.
I bought the first year of the 3rd Gen dodge and thought they were ugly at first....As for the bullfrog headlights and those ugly dixie cup looking tail lights on the latest versions, I guess I'll get used to it. I really like the new interiors for the most part.
The best looking Dodges are still the 2nd generation, I do own a 06 2500 Ram and It was not bought for it's ugly duckling looks, aside from the apperance I realy like my Ram.
The 07/08 rear tail lights don't apeal to me, and I kinda like the orange under the head lights of the 06.
The 09 Ram looks more like a Toyota Tacoma with a Dakota front end.
Trucks are all starting to look the same.

I have no words to describe how truly disappointed I am in seeing that picture. I'm still not a big fan of the front end changes to the '06-'08 models, but the only positive thing I can say about the truck in that picture is that at least they went back to smooth tail lights...
I loved the 3rd gens from the first time I saw them. They were so bold and brazen and just stood out as a make-no-excuses-for-itself truck amongst trucks. That truck forced the hand of the other manufacturers and made them build their trucks bigger, beefier, and more powerful. I still think that the Dodge Ram stood head and shoulders above the rest even after the newer models of the others came online.
Dodge has always forced the hand in design. First with the second generation trucks, borrowing their styling cues from International, as it was said. The other manufacturers followed suit, but were again left behind in '02 when Dodge unveiled the third gen Ram. I can live with the changes (as much as I don't like them) made to the '06 and up trucks, because they still stayed true to the Dodge Ram styling integrity. I fear that they have gone from leading to following with this new design. I see nothing groundbreaking or that says "just try and keep up with us" in this model. I see a little bit of just about everything else out there.
The only thing keeping the Chevy from being the most appealing truck in that montage a few pages back is its smileyface grille. I don't have any plans to get rid of my '05 until it runs itself into the ground, but if I WERE to get something else, I can almost assuredly say it wouldn't be the '09 Ram from what we can see in that picture. It can have all the top specs in the worls, but I still have to be able to be happy seeing it in my driveway every morning. I can't say that about the truck in the picture.
