I just got my tuner in the mail from a guy off the Dakota forum and am confused. I looked at the website and it says the 3715 supports 98-03 5.2, 5.9, 3.9, and 99-03 4.7 but the tuner I got doesn'y recognized my truck and the box says only the 5.2,5.9, and 3.9. Am I just SOL and if so anyone that does have those engines interested in it?

 

The superchip probably needs an update for the 4.7. Go to the superchip website, register and look for an update. The tuner was probably packaged before the 4.7 came out, they just added new features to the superchip tuner. If they say they support the 4.7 engine on their website, all you need is the update, you'll need to connect it to a computer to download the update.

 

this is a MAX Microtuner. I didn't think you could update these from the computer. I was doing a search on here and read something about there being a difference between 3715 with serial numbers before 104xxxx and those that come after but it didn't specify what thatr difference was. Could this be the issue b/c the serial # on the box is 1004849

 

sorry about the misled, you probably can't update the max tuners, maybe yours is the version made before the supported 4.7's, it makes sense. You would have to buy the new versions. Hope you can sell this tuner to someone that needs it.... Best of luck

 

or try calling superchips up and see if there something that they can do, I never dealt with them but tdmopar has, and is really pissed at them for their bad business procedures!!!
