Default Speedometer fix

Hey all...I just moved from the 245s stock to 265s...and now the speedometer is off by a couple mph! I vaguely remember a previous post about something that the dealer can do to recalibrate??? Anyone with suggestion?? Thanks!!!

Yeah the dealer can. But it'll probably cost you a bit. I would think about buying a superchip, that way you can change a bunch of things.

Default RE: Speedometer fix

On 3rd gens up to 2005, the dealer can use the STAR scan tool and recalibrate by revs per mile. On 2006 and up they can do it by tire size up to a 285 tire. If the dealer doesn't know how to calculate revs per mile, Pm me and I can explain it. I do it for my customers for free. I personally take care of thisand do not have to rely/pay a tech to do it for you. But most dealers will require you to wait on a tech and charge you. Hope this helps.....
