Default REMOVAL OF HEADLIGHT HOUSING!!!!!

First thing... I need a little help here from people who have done it before..

Removal of your headlight housing its been a bi*ch. I got all the bolts out that the owners manual has said to do. It's loose as hell.. But won't pull out. Is there a trick or something i'm missing!!!????

I removed mine headlights a couple months ago and one was hung up. You have two bolts on the inside edge and one bolt on the bottom outside edge by the fender. Once you have those three bolts removed, then there is a small plastic expanding retainer holding it in. This is also on the inside edge by the two bolts. Pinch the expanding retainer and push it through the hole. There is then a small clip down by the single bolt, just take a flat head screw driver and kind of work it out. Mine just poped out with a quick pull. Hope I didn't confuse you too much.

Ok... I tried it again.. No luck.. don't want to force it out too hard with the driver.

Seems as if its hanging up on top.. but I see nothing. Both sides are the same. What a ridiculous design.. there headlights!! didn't think it'd be this damn hard.

Its prolly hanging on that clip in the back, when i had to do mine.. i was two handed pulling, and im 385lbs.. that lil tab thats holding it, really holds it. Youll want to watch for a lil upside down C on the very bottom of the housing, its in just right spot to scratch the heck outa the top of your bumper when it does let go. It will come out, just pull. I didnt use any screw drivers to pry, just pull those three bolts, that lil plastic on the side under the grille area, and pull.

Thanks for the advice.... I just did em with the housing still in... wow that was a little tricky... For next time though I will be taking the housing out.. But yeah i sure was using both hands leaning into it to pull it out.. wow would not budge.

The lights look amazing now.. way better on the road than the stock. Defnitely recommend them.
