I have a 07 ram 2500hd and i just got a trailer that has a electric brake. Do i need to install a controller or should it have one on it already? If not are they hard to install?

Oh yeah, if you do a search you will find a lot threads on them, what brand, places to mount, etc.

you should have a blue wire in the glovebox or under the backseat that is a factory harness for one. you just wire that to the controller, and plug it into the factory spot

 

Don't come factory with a brake controller, so you will need to add one. Very easy process...
