Default New guy needs help

I have a 2003 Hemi 1500 with about 46000 miles on it. It's a 2 wheel burner. My rear end has taken a crap. It's making a nasty grinding sound when I let of the gas at slow speeds and is also slinging oil everywhere. My converter was also loose a long time ago but the dealer put a wrinch to it and called it fixed. I am also running the stock 20" tires. I wanted to replace the LSD with a Auburn unit with Motive 4.56's that I have ordered. I have also ordered a Transgo reprogram kit and a new high stall tourque converter. Is this the way to go or should I go back to the dealer and try again to get them to fix it with the same crap parts! I have already ordered the parts before I realised that it may still be under the powertrain warrenty. My question is this, should I just get it fixed and save the parts or should I just get it done and have peace of mind. Also, how bad have I screwed myself as far as rpm's go switching to 4.56's from 3.92's with stock 20" tires. I'm looking to be able to punch it and have it light up the tires without touching the breaks. It has a very hard time tring to power break now which is sad!

If it's slinging diff oil all over the place. it might also be a combination of the famous "c clip" issues along with the pinion seal gone???
If you want no further worries about your rear end going out, replace the standard LSD with the Aurburn.
You could always ask the dealer to fit it under warranty.
That way he/Dodge would save on the parts and you would have the new LSD fitted for free.

Thanks, I will call dealer to see if they will install the new stuff. It can't hurt to ask.

Yep..........that's what i figured.
It can't hurt to ask them.
I'd run by and ask them personally, rarther than telelphone them.
The only thing I think they will say that might stop them doing it, is the issues over warranty etc.

1) The LSD won't be stock.
2) They won't warranty the new LSD.

Those might be major issues for a dealership.
Try and sweet talk them????

Any of you dealer guys think I have a chance getting them to cover the labor. I havn't had good luck in the past, but would consider taking it to them. Are the dealers equiped to install properly. Last thing I want is a bunch of trashed parts do to poor install. I was thinking a 4X4 shop would be well equiped to do the rear end. Anymore thoughts?
