Default Having a Viper 160XVL installed?

So I am having a Viper 160XVL remote start/keyless entryinstalled in my truck this Sunday. Anyone else have one or one like it? I am looking forward to this, it'll be nice not having to sit in my truck for 5 minutes every morning waiting for it to warm up.

I have heard of aftermarket units frying computers, anyone else heard of this?

They have them cheaper too. I opted for the one with the long range, since I have to park on the other side of our complex at times.
