Default Newbie here NEED HELP!

Hello all,
I've been a Dodge owner for a dozen years or so. But I've never modified them.

I just bought a 08 Hemi QC/SB "Big Horny" and have been checking out mods and info about them on a couple forums lately. Seems like everytime I geta gameplan, someone gives info that throws me off. Now I don't know jack about a lot of things and Mods are definately one of them. I need help...

Here was my plan until recently. Bear in mind, I'm going for performance in the form of MPG increase, not necessarily speed or "coolness"... if I can get MPG, Speed, Coolability all in one... great.

My plan (in order)...

1st step
Magnaflow cat-back $507.

2nd step
K&N cai
Motoblue tbs
Motoblue hardcore wire set
NGK sparks
(whole package for $399.95 ship inc.)

3rd step
Bully Dog program aprox. $400.

What do you all think? Is this an OK plan? Should I change something? Money is a little bit of a factor.

My newbie *** estimates (roughly using #'s from internet)+54 rwhp with 87 octane, or +64 rwhp with 91 octane. And probably a mpg increase 5 or 6. All for about $1300.

What do you think? Am I an idiot? Are my numbers off. Any other ideas? Anyone in Baton Rouge that wouldn't mind helping me out. Give me locations of performance shops. Where and how much (in my area) does it cost to hook up my truck to a dyno after all this is done?

HELP!

Your plan seems good to me. I got my magnaflow exhaust at a shop here in town for $280 out the door.

I would stay away from MotoBlue stuff - I have not heard anything but bad stuff about their products - I have never used them so that is just hearsay - don't wast your money on the TBS - they don't do jack. I would look into the True Flow XDI intake over the K&N. Remember the numbers that manufacturers give for power/mpg is just that, their numbers. I think you will see the most improvement with a CAI, gears, tuner, exhaust. I would wait and do your plugs/wires at the 30K mark when it is needed - but that is just my .02.

Goodluck and welcome!

Dont get the TBS its a waste of time and money. 06-08 dont have spark plug wires with the MDS system, its all electronic. I would reccomend a Superchips tuner and do your research on the CAI. There are quite a few of them out there. One that is pretty good is from www.3rdstrike.biz plus its cheaper then most.

I second the no motoblu products and no TBS, poor quality, and the spacer decreases power or does nothing at best
