ALL '06+ 1500s have MDS with the only exception being the MegaCabs. Which is really a 2500 anyway in my book.
Anyone who saysthey havea non-Mega, 06+ 1500 without MDS has either had it removed or doesn't know their own truck...

I know for sure my truck does not have it. I don't know if the guy before me had it ordered that way or what, but my 06 does not have it.

Unless the previous owner bought a product such as this....
Non-MDS Conversion kit for the MDS vehicles to run higher RPM and cam lift over .500" Includes non MDS lifters, MDS core plugs, head gaskets and custom flash to remove the MDS code in the engine controller. 6000-7000 rpm capability.
$649 with programming
$259 without custom programming
......then you have MDS.
Making an '06 1500 a non-MDS would require the purchase of a kit such as the one above and tearing down the engine to install it, plus reflashing the PCM.
Why do you not think you have it? If performing properly, your not supposed to be able to tell if it's working or not (although a lot of people say they can hear an exhaust tone).

Can't be "ordered without it" from the factory. Only an aftermarket kit would accomplish this and a lot of work. Again, why do you think you don't have it???

The guy that had the truck told me he did not order it, he did not want it. There is a huge list of stuff he ordered, he got stuff I didn't know you could order.

Peddler,
Somebody has pissed in your wheateana buddy. I play golf every sunday with the same 3 guys, one of whom is a salesman at my local Chrysler/Jeep dealer and another is the General Sales Manager. It was confirmed to me that it could/can not be ordered with or without MDS. Simply, the 1500 SC & QC trucks have come with itsince the release of the '06 model and the Megacab's and 2500's have not. I asked him if he could double check this and his reply was "don't need to, I know the answer to this as well as I know my own name".
Also Mopat does not make a "kit" to replace the valves, etc. that make up the MDS, so the dealer would not have been able to make that change. If, indeed, your '06 does not have MDS, it went to a performance shop for the modification.
