yeah, it goes into the front bumper to get cold air, but if u look at most forums the stock dodge hemi intake set up is very good from the factory, if you change the filter like trueflow does thats the best way to get coldest air into your engine witch makes best performance, i think the true flow consists of a flilter and bigger hoses to swap from the factory ones and thats it.

Well there aretwo types of Trueflow I forget the individual models but the most favoredatleast on this website seems to be the one that replaces everything including the top plastic "hat"/ baffle.

im not too sure about the flowmaster being restrictive, becauseme friend has a magniflow race exhaust it sounds good(on a 5.9 ram)but my truck is way louder, its so loud that its too loud, everthing in the truck rattles when i take off, but it seems that the exhaust is deeper sounding tone when your going easy then mid throttle, but you punch it and its like my harley Loud As F*ck! it sounds like there is no restriction at all, also i went from 15mpg to 17.9 on the highway, but as soon as the intake went on it dropped t0 13.... o well i didnt get a hemi for gas milage!!!!
Compared to a straight-through muffler a flowmaster is very restrictive....it's not called a chambered muffler for nothing. Just because it's loud doesn't mean it's free flowing...I can tell nothing is going to convince you though.

Here...check out the flowmaster diagrams from their own site. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/mufflers.htmlSee all of the restrictions blocking exhaust flow? Those same restrictions is what makes the nice sound the flowmasters make but it comes at a price. If you're dead set on them i'dinstall some electric cut-outs after the cats....that will uncork your system at the flick of a switch.

For comparison here's Hookers version of a straight-through mufflerhttp://www.holley.com/types/Maximum%20Flow.asp ...notice how there's no restriction, just two pipes surrounded by packing. Magnaflows are the same way...you can literally pick up one end of the muffler and look through it.

The advantage to the Flo's with the baffleing is you can run bigger pipe in and out and not losethe back pressure. strait tru mufflers over little to no resistance so the flo more air faster which can have a cooling effect that causes a slight vacum that will help to pull air tru the system, thus giving mre HP than abaffled muffler that has your exhaust gasesgoingthru point C to get to B, less restction= lower low end torque, making the truck that touch slower off the line, but moretopend power, more resriction= the exact opposite. I'm going to be putting on a 28" 2.5"ID & OD glasspack with a turn dow tip on the muffler, but I'm leaving everything else the sam to try and savesome ot the back pressure.

I see all you guys are not flowmaster fans,LOL,

NOTHING LIKE SEEING FOR YOUR OWN EYES! they make really good mufflers! IM NOT SAYING MAGNOFLOW ARE NOT GOOD ALSO THEY ARE A GOOD CHOICE, MY FRIEND HAS ONE AND IT SOUNDS GOOD, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS MY FLOWMAST SUPER 40! just putin in my 2 cents from what ive seen and heard you cant really tell if its going to be louder or better by looking at the flowmaster or magnoflow website, because ofcourse each company is going to say they sell the best muffler..
and yes i see what you guys are saying about less restriction,
the question i have is are all you magnoflow guys running 3inch tubing or 2.5inch??? Im running 3inch with the flowmaster super 40and its tooo f*ckin loud!!!!!!

I have Magnaflow on the ram, and it sounds great, not to loud. I like Flowmaster too, I have it on my 68 Mustang, I think that is what Flowmaster was made for. Just my little thought.
