Default 4.7L Exhaust question.

I am wanting to install a cat back dual exit turn down after the rear wheel system. My question is, with all the manufacturers out there, and not many posts in here on exhaust for the 4.7L, does anyone have a recomondation? I don't want the dump sound like Flowmaster 40's or 50's, and I have been told to stay away from flowmaster all together on the small 8.I am a sound freak. Who makes the kit with the best sound? And or the best performance curve? Thanks for the advise.

i have to 04 4.7 and i went with a magnaflow cat back system. i love the sound. i di dnot buy the prebuilt system because the muffler is too big. the 18" muffler can be heard when you get on it but is not as loud as the flows. there is some noise in the cab around 2000 rpm's but you get used to it real fast. you can go to the magnaflow site and listen to what the dodge sounds like. i hope this helps.

You might want to check out Spintech, they have some nice dodge truck systems.

I have the flowmaster system and i am very happy with it. Especially for the price $320 at my door. I am thinking about changing out the muffler for a magnaflow. Even with that i will still be below the cost of many other systems.

I have the Gibson Super Truck exhaust and absolutely love it. At idle, it definitely rumbles. On the highway, it's not that bad, but can be if you want it to be.
