Default Tire/gear ratio ?

First tire change on my '03 1500 QC 4X4. Ordered with 26/70/17 on/off Goodyears and 3:55 gears. Drive mostly city (11.2MPG) with occasional hwy trips. Only off road while hunting in fall. Wondering if I'd get better performance/MPG for my driving conditions with 245/70/15's? I think after 2003, Dodge didnt offer 265's with 3:55 gears so always questioned my choice.
So would 245's work better than 265's for my driving conditions with this gear?
Cheers

Default RE: Tire/gear ratio ?

hmm... it would prolly help but a very small amount... if you want better gas mileage just keep the 265's and regear... for situation 4.10's would prolly work well.
