Question about Cool Air Intakes
I am finally getting around to upgrading my 2003 Laramie HEMI. I've already done some cosmetic things...but, I just ordered a Volant Cool Air intake and was wondering how much of an improvement in Hp and mpg that I could actually expect. I already have a Flowmaster and less restrictive exhaust.
I'm also considering:
Tornado fuel saver.
Performance chip or computer.
Ram Air Hood...in future.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You wont gain a noticeable amount with the intake. Maybe 5-10 hp. But it will definitely sound cool.
The tornado fuel savor is a piece of **** that doesnt work. Dont buy one.

My '03 QCSB Hemi has a TrueFlow intake kit. Take any claims of radical amounts of horsepower improvement with a truck load of salt. If mine had gained all they claimed, I'd be getting almost 400 HP! Get him breathing better with the intake and exhaust. There was a Tornado in mine when I bought it. I'll make you a deal: $35 shipped! That's half price! Such a bargain
Welcome to the forum. If you have any problems/questions, no doubt there'll be someone here to chip in.

Thanks for reply.
What about different computer? Dodge Dealer Parts guy says he put one on his Magnum/Charger (don't remember)and had big improvement.
Is there a chip that does more than eliminate limiters? Change shift points foreverday driving...etc.
I guess that one can do alot more with a Diesel.
I'm not trying to make it a monster; just making improvements. I'm obsessed with "toying around with it"
Take care.
