The other night when I shut the truck off , I turned the ignition off first, then the headlights. The headlights stayed on for a couple minutes then shut off. A hiddenbonus or do I need to read the manual better or electrical glitch?

 

That is a bonus. The lights will stay on for two minutes if you shut the truck down first and then the headlights. Nice feature.

Nope, not a glitch....been that way on every Dodge I have had....98 Durango, 03 Dak, 04 Ram.... Does not work if you shut down in the reverse order though.

I like it, because it gives me light until I get to the pathway where the motion sensor for my house lights is.

 

FYI, most cars have done this since the early 90's... maybe even earlier than that.

 

My 97 Ford F-250 did not do it.

 

yea i noticed this on accident one day.. its kinda cool when your camping or something...
