IVE GOT A FRIEND WHO THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN DRIVES A COMPANY PROVIDED F150,5.4. I LIKE THE GUY BUT HIS YAPPING ABOUT HOW MANY HEMI RAMS HES BEATEN IN OPEN ROAD CHALLENGES IS STARTING TO DRIVE ME NUTS. IM NOT STARTING TO HAVE ANY DOUBTS HERE BUT WHAT ARE THE HP,0-60,AND TOP END SPECS ON A 2004 5.4 FORD TRITON CREWCAB ANYWAY???

According to Motor Trend and Car and Driver a 4x2 new Ford F-150 with the 3 valve 5.4 will hit 0-60 in 9.4. This is considerably slower than a similarly equipped Hemi. The new Fords have the worst handling specs of all of the full size trucks, but they do have the smoothest ride. Believe top speed is no more than 102 whereas the Rams are about 108. My step son has the new F-150 and there is no way he can hang with my Hemi. The new Fords are extremely heavy compared to the previous versions. They were built for passenger comfort and the bump in horse power was needed to offset the added weight. If you can beat a 2003, then you can beat a 2005.
