Has anyone upgraded the from the keyless entry flob to the newer one peice keyless entry/key? Is it even posiable? I would like to thin down my keyring. If this has been hashed out please send me the threds so Ican read them.

trufully I wouldn't do it becuase for instance when I go surfing every morning i throw the keyless controller in the truck and the key itself goes in my wetsuit. with the all in one deal you'll mess up the electronic part.

 

I understand and would keep the keys that I have for that same reason.I surf as well but throw a spare key in a "hidakey" box and will continue to do that. But as for the day to day since I don't have the pleasure of living that close to the oceanI am lookingto slim my keyring down since I have a few cars and other things on there..........really wish that the keys were like theeuropeancar makers in that the key portion folds away to decrease the size even more.

 

I have that type of key, and I hate it. It is way to big!

it is the same exact size key, but instead of the blank spot with lines in has the remote start button.

I have thought of this as well and when it get warm out I am goint to do it. My 2007 had that feature and key and i sorely miss it on my 08.

If anyone knows what parts are needed please share.
