is the only way to increase idle with one of those superchips, and if so, i can't put any download that has anything to do with my fuel do to the SC.are one of those programmers more logical than a chip pricewise. I haven't dabbled in the whole download thing with mine except the software installed for the SC. is this applicable with what I've done to my truck with the cam and charger. Educate me on the programmers, pro/con, worth the money for what you get out of the truck. i don't care about fuel mileage at this point, i'm at 6.5 now, how far does the rabbithole go?

How are you controlling the SC and taming that cam now, piggyback? Is your PCM program still factory?

right now the tuning is all off the superchargers software, fuel maps etc.

I haven't seen a chip for the Hemi worth a flip, to be honest. The issue you may have with a tuner such as a Superchips, is that the tuner copies and stores your entirestock PCM program, then basically allows you to download one of three pre-written programs or "canned tunes" to your PCM. There is not a list of "settings" where you can just go in and change one thing, like idle RPMs.
It's not like you are adding lines of code to your existing settings, so if your SC and/or CAM is being controlled from code written to your PCM, you are gonna lose it. If you are loading software through a laptop connected to the port under your dash, this would undoubtably be the case. If you were using a "piggyback" controller such as an ARC-1, it would over-ride the PCM settings for A/F ratio, etc. and a Superchips would probably work for you.
That's kinda why I'm waiting for SCT to release their Tuner. They will have canned tunes, but also are supposed to have a database where you can download tunes written for different combinations of mods. The "canned tunes" on a Superchips does nothing for my CAI, LT Headers, etc. Also, SCT will also write you a "Custom Tune" or tunes, based specifically on ALL of your mods which will even be enhanced with the use of information obtained from a Dyno. I am adding a KRC 210 Cam with a custom grind for gobs of torque. I would need a piggyback to tame it as I sit now, but would still not be enjoying the gains I could have because my PCM tune would not be optimised for all of my mods. Of course, they could make your idle RPMs anything you want in a custom tune. So, rather than wasting my money on a piggyback and so/so performance now, I'm waiting for SCT, so I can have a custom tune done after a trip to the Dyno and have the best performance possible, also making a piggyback controller unneccessary. The cool thing about this route is if you add more performance mods they can re-write your tune in a matter of days to accomodate the new mod(s).
Kinda sounds to me like this would bea way for you to go. But regardless of whether you consider waiting for SCT, it sounds to me like you are a good candidate for a custom tune.

Sorry if I got long winded, and I hope I explained it well. You may want to PM Hemifever, he is an SCT dealer and writes custom tunes, and also knows a hell of a lot more about this stuff than I do...

i forgot to tell ya, i'm running piggyback with laptop communication to the piggyback ECU where I am able to manipulate fuel maps real time through the truck inside. ummmm, what about Hypertech, change rev limiter and idle by itself?
