Parts/Service, all 3rd gen Rams are pre-wired for fog lights? Does this mean that my 06 Ram ST is compatable with the above listed part number for the fog light kit? I have searched and I always seem to find that the complete kits are only compatible with SLT or Laramies with fog light wiring behind the bumper or something to that extent. Unfortunately, I am deployed and unable to look at my truck, but I would like to add fog lights to it when I return. However, I am only going to add fog lights if it will look 100% factory. Thanks for the info.
yep u need to see if that wire is behind the bumper. if not u can get kit#82208102 which comes with a switch u drill a hole for but with a adapter harness and a factory headlight/fog light switch it will look factory.https://www.dodgeparts.com/product_i...15df1f5a55601e
Thanks for the link.I checked it out, but it appears that the adapter harness and factory headlight/fog light switch that you mentioned are only available for 02-05. My truck is an 06. I would imagine that the CANN Bus setup is different. I guess I will just have to wait untill I get home and check my truck out. Unfortunately Im guessing that I wont be getting fog lights because I will only install the fog light kit if it is going to look 100% factory. Im not willing to drill for a non-factory looking switch.

Ilooked at 2 ST's and they were both pre-wired for fogs... On an 2006, Get part # 82209047, and it contains everything that you need for the install to look factory...

got my fog light kit installed. factory wiring was already there. computer already was already set up to run them so they came right on. and it must be set for export lights because they stay on with brights.[sm=icon_rock.gif] cool! dealer unsure of right pt.# so got # of this forum. thanks to whoever that was.
Please explain why this is cool? Proper use of fog lights mean you turn off your headlights and only use the fogs and parking lights.

I never turn my headlights off in the fog...that would justdecrease other drivers ability to see you. Properly adjusting the fog lights to make sure they under cut the fog and don't blindother drivers...along with using low-beams IMO is the proper way to do it.
