So I recently switched out thestock 20's on my 07 1500 QC with 17" American Racing Mojave's with 33" Toyo M/T's. The wheels and tires are used but appeared to be in great shape. The tires are probably at about 70% and the rims don't appear to have even a nick. I put them on and had a bad wobble or shimmy at 40mph and up. So I had them re-balanced and put back on the truck by I local tire store. Theshimmy or wobble has been significantly reduced(40 and/or 50mph) but it is still there slightly. The truck was aligned a couple of months ago when I had the level kit installed...should I have it aligned again? Would that likely be the easy fix or could it be something else? Thanks!

 

Had a problem on my old truck like this. Had to have a tire patched on the inside wall. Took it from the tire place down the road, turned right back around and had them balance that particular tire, BAD WOBBLE. They balanced it again (they did after they patched it), and I took back down the road, still had vibration. I took it back and the guy told me there was nothing more he could do. The hole he repaired was significant, and if I wanted the smooth ride back I'd have to replace the tire. I took it to another tire shop and they confirmed. I dealt with it about a month, and ended up having to replace it. It was driving me crazy...

 

Do a search on here for vibration issues, not too long ago someone had a similar problem and if I'm not mistaken the tire dealer said that they were having major issues with Toyo M/Ts. They swapped for another brand and the issue went away. Can't remember who it was but maybe he will see this and chime in...

Try this thread, it's more about Toyo's pulling to the right than vibration, but again this is only being experienced with the Toyo M/Ts...
