Default Has anyone regeared a 3.7 V-6

I been thinking for some time now about regearing my 2006 Dodge 1500 with 3.7 V-6.

It has the 323 gear set in it now I want to get more botton end mid range power out of it I been looking at 410 or 456 if I lift it with 33 inch tires.

I just want to know someone out there who has done this and was it worth the time and money to go through this or am I better off Saving and trading it in for a V-8.

I dont tow with it I have a 2001 Club cab V-10 Dodge for that just want to make my little V-6 better for every day driving around and not be so under powered.

The biggest thing I ever use the truck for Is 2 Dirt bikes A small 4 wheeler for my kid and my family to haul them around to go dirt biking.

I dont expect it to be a race truck just be able to get out of it's own way when needed, The way it is now reminds me of driving my sisters Old 1989 Chev Chevett 4 Banger It will get you there but mite as well pack you'r lunch it going to take a while to get there.

Forget about the MPG it not great anyways that why I got it hoping It got good MPG.

So the MPG is lost cause mite as well get some power out of it and make it fun to drive around.

I just threw in some 4.56's in my truck and got a new differential cover...I noticed more low-mid end torque improvements, and a small gain in hp...In truth though, you can only do so much to these trucks to boost them up to their bone stock counter parts.

Was it worth it. Did this make you'r Dodge truck a keeper now or still not realy happy with it.

I like the truck my self just wish it had more passing power and more off the line.

I know it never be a fast truck thats not why I got it in the first place if I was I would of keeped my truck before this one.
