Default 07 QC ThunderRoad 1500 4X4

[hr]

What's going on folks, I got my Ram last summer, been on the forums every since.Just wanted to say this is the best website for almost ALL the questions I have had about my RAM. I will definetely be post more in the near future as questions come up, well only if they haven't been asked before. I am trying to embed a pic of my truck. I only have added a K&N drop in. I had a flashpaq, but I didn't like the engine surging when the MDS was kicking in and out. Plan on doing a Flomaster 50HD single in dual out in the near future. Not going to do an intake, but maybe an airram air scoop that goes right behind the grille. Currently running conventional oil since the dealer told me it is not going to make a difference since I change it every 3000 miles. I currently have 6500 miles on the truck and have not used the 4 wheel drive yet. Oh well, I will be on here plenty. Any suggestions or insight is welcome.

Jon

Welcome to the Forums!!! Having the FM 50HD on my truck I will say this, if you didn't like the MDS surging with the flashpaq, you're probably not going to like the MDS Sound with an aftermarket exhaust. It's a hard sound to describe, and my camera won't pick it up very well. But if the MDS kicks in aroudn 40-50mph it definantly doesn't sound great, and the cab will vibrate a little. My CAI somehow toned it down a little, not sure how but it definantly helped.

Anyway, again, welcome to the forums, and nice ride!!!

That is why I have been a little hesitant to getting the exhaust. I hear it sounds pretty bad until you get used to it.

I have a friend who had put a dual exhaust on an 07 QC 1500 V6, he did not like the way it sounded and ended up taking the exhaust off. He is asking $50 for the muffler and the pipes, but I am wondering if the pipes will fit the same on my truck. I think he said the muffler is a hemi turbo, I have not been able to find much on that brand on the net. It is a single in dual out. Does anyone know if it will fit, or if that muffler will sound like crap? I can buy a new muffler, my main concern is the routing of the pipes. Any info is appreciated.
