Default my truck has been unusually sluggish

So for the last two weeks my truck has been really slow from a red light or just accelerating to 35. cleaned the air filter out, just recently changed all 16 plugs, replaced my MSD ignition wires etc.. Anyways, my check engine light pops on about a week ago and I begin to get pissed. So I pull into my garage with it and it sounds like a heatshield is rattling bad. So I lift up my truck and start knocking around. Keep in mind I have a $1600 exhaust from Dynatech end to end. Would you believe the converter let go on the driver side. So I picked up a set of the Magna FLows Hi Flow converters. WOW! Got them this morning, you can see right through them! So I just picked it up from the muffler place and the guys were laughing about seeing through it. So anyways, the guys were concerned about the check engine light coming on. It was already on, and would you believe the light turned out after about 30 miles. These converters I could have sworn were gonna cause an issue, seeing how my ECU has been so screwey with everything I've done and it actually fixed it. I hope this doesn't turn out 1 step forward 2 steps back.

Isn't it always 1 step foward and 2 back when you have a hot rod. You buy one part and have to buy 3 more to compliment it.
