Hello, I'm new to the forum. I having a small problem with my 06' Ram power steering has gone from red to a nice shade of silver, also it smells bad. Has anyone heard or have hadthe the same problems.

Not really, i know over time the color will change but not too silver...You might have an air leak somewhere, or the fluid is contaminated...I could be wrong.......Don't worry some one will chime in with the right answer.

 

Any other symptoms such as the power steering pump whinning, or poor response in the steering??
The silver fluid doesn't sound right especially with the bad stink.

if it's turning silver it would tend to make me think that the pump gear is grinding up....does it make any noise or anything?
