I can get a 2003 rear with a "new" LSD and 4.10 gears for $500plus my rear in trade. Will it fit my '96? The '03 is a hemi, my '96has the 5.9 motor and 3.55 gears, no LSD. If it fits, would the overall width be the same?

I've been wanting to have gears and LSD installed, and I could do thisinstall myself if it's a straight up swap. Would save me around a grand (mainly labor).

Both trucks are 1500's.

you'd have to get a measurment of both axles and see if the widths are close and i'm guessing you'd prolly have to replace the shock mounts and that sort of stuffbut i would think it should fit
