How much HP?
The 2nd prime downshift clutchpack shares the 4th gear o/d clutches. We're seeing failures starting around 360 rwhp/tq with those. You can take off 1st, 2nd, 3rd and be okay (stay out of 4th) but do a downshift from like 50mph and you'll bake those clutches.
What you have planned?
It is always good to think ahead like this if you plan on adding significantpower. Some just dive in and end up with headaches later for not doing it right.

I was gonna say 350 rear wheel, but Hemifever does this stuff on a daily basis, I'm just an old shade tree redneck mechanic. I know a lot more about lifts and suspensions than I do the innards, so, I'll defer and go with 360 RWHP...
I do know that since I was a teen, Dodge trucks ALWAYS have had the reputation of bulletproof V8 engines and crappy trannies. Wish someone in that company would take charge and do something about it...
