cruse control

Default cruse control

I have an 06 2500 that did not come with cruse for the factory and would like to add it on nowhas anyone doneortried this

Should be doable. I had a '79 Olds Cutlass that didn't come with it. The dealer added it for me at purchase. Too long ago to remember how much it cost.

do you think that all i would need to buy would be the switches and the program
because it works through the computer of the truck and not with the vacum system like older cars and trucks

It is doable, but sorry, not sure everything you will need. I am confident it will be costly though.

There are aftermarket opions, you might want to check into them after you talk to your dealer and get sticker shock.

Check with your local dealer. They should be able to add cruise from an aftermarket company for like $150. I used to work at a ....chevy.... dealership and we added cruises to some of the cars regularly upon the customers request. I was a salesman and not a service tech so I cant tell you what all is required.
