?????Strange Noise???????
Drive your truck around purposely trying to make this sound. Find out the what causes this sound to happen. Once there a thorough underside inspection of the whole exhast area. Go out again and get it to do this a dozen or so times. Now reinspect your whole exhaust area and look for some evidence of metal to metal contact. Once you find this take it back to your exhaust shop and show them where the metal on metal contact is located and tell them FIX.
Now decide that might be too time consuming then look underneathfor a place where there is little to no space between the exhaust and the underside of the truck. You very well may see a spot where there is bare metal as a result of metal on metal contact. The gap may be fairly big but as a result of the engine moving from high torque situations it causes a the exhaust to bang against the underside of your truck. It is possible that the metal on metal contact is in your rear axle or suspension too. It might even be where your exhaust tip comes out the side of your truck. Anyway, process of elimination says if you check the newest modification, if the problem did not exsist before the modification, then it's highly likely that the problem lies in your most recent modification.
Hops this gives you a jump off point.

Hey man. I dont know if it will help, but i lowered my ram 2/4 after i had exhaust put on and when i accelerated and when i went into turns i heard a sound like you said(metal draggin accross concrete). I took my truck back to the muffler shop and they had to move my muffler, because when i was in a turn or accelerating hard enough the muffler would rubb against the driveshaft. Hope this isn't your problem, but maybe it can give you an insite on maybe something else that may be happening. Other than wind up your ***. Oh yeh dont feel bad my exhaust is now making a slapping noise when my truck is cold around 3000-3500 rpm in first and second gear. And i cant figure that one out either. I think im just going to get a custom header back system. good luck.
Thanks Fellas. I ended up going to a different muffler shop, and he thought it was the tips, so he cut them off. I have been driving since yesterday, with no tips, and no noise. He is ordering me new tips that shoudl be in tomorrow or Monday. I wanted to go with the same type tip, but a different brand. Hopefully once I get them back on, I won't have the same problem.
