Possible to beat 1990 Corvette with....
Standard air induction, exhaust, electrical and programmer mods?
At light beforethe "race track"a stock1990 grey corvette that Ive been messing with around town pulled up we were head to head till I hit 115 is this where the rev limiter kicks in because I could have sworn it was at 120 last time I was up there, the only difference was this time My rear tires are well worn in, right now im running an '06 dodge ram with hemi stock with goodyear wrangler stock tires.
1. Is stock setting for rev limiter at 115 or @120 or just before like a ford f-150
2. Could well worn tires really have cost me the 5 mph till 120.
3. Im looking at some cooper ltz all terrain tires will this effect my top speed even more?
4. With a K&N highflow air intake, headers and Flowmaster high flow exhaust kit, superchip programmer some kind of starter kit, and a hard toneau cover. will I be able to get to 140 MPH and will my tires be able to handle it (I cant find any other 20X9's with any higher of a speed rating that are worth the extra cash) or should I give up and just buy a challenger.
