Default FYI on superchips....

So, like I had said in previous posts, I bought a locked Hypertech programmer. I thought that they would unlock it for me, especially since I was able to stop by their headquarters that is a mile from my house. Unfortunately, their customer service sucks, and they would not do anything for me. So I sent it back to the person I got it from for a full refund.

THEN, i bought a used VINlocked superchips 3815. I spoke with Don in customer service over there and they said that they could unlock it for $100. I bought the used one for about $60, so I spent$160 on it in total.I assumed that i would have to send itin.

This was not the case. I got it inyesterday from the ebay seller, called superchips today and gave them my credit card # this morning and updated the information online. Took about 15 minutes in total. It was EASY!

Way to go SUPERCHIPS! I cant wait to get this thing installed, when I leave for lunch.

Yea, really easy if you have the Flashpaq, the model for the 03's can't be updated over the 'net, so you have to send that one in, right Greggie???

I may have read a post about the 03 version then, because I was under the impression it would have to be sent in. I am so anxious for lunch....

Me too, but that's cause I got up late for work and had to skip breakfast.
Good luck with the Superchips, though...

Hah! Don't you know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Or did you forget because the air is too thin way up there on those 35"s...

Ok, just got back from lunch. I am a very happy boy. The shifting has really been changed, and for the better. The shifts are tighter, undoubtedly. I would imagine it would do about the same for an 03

So you're no longer shiftless?

Anyone that sells a tuner for $60 knows it's VIN locked, and anyone who buys one for $60 knows it is too. It can't have been a surprise on anyone's part.

As usual it ends up Superchips' responsibility to make everything right again, even though they had nothing to do with the situation except for having made the product in the first place.
