Truck won't idle
The weather here is nuts. We'll get as high as 100F in the peak of summer, although it usually tops out at about 90F, and as low as -30F, but typically around -20F in the peak of winter.
My truck started doing the same thing this morning. We just got through the -20f snap, it was actually zero this morning. A few weeks ago it was idling high for a couple of days and then seemed to correct itself. Only once before did it not want to idle and it went away went in warmed up. Now it just won't idle.
Sucks cuz I have to remove my superchips tune before bringing it into the dealer. It's probably a bad IAC or something.

Max, with having the 5-spd, did the tuner still make a big difference?
Please post what they say about the problem. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. It seems to come up after it's been cold for a few weeks.

When its cold out your engine will automatically idle higher to warm itself up. When RPMs drop while idling or it stalls, it is usually a dirty throttlebody/TPS or a bad TPS
Yeah, but yesterday it was idling at 1900 RPM. That's a tad bit extreme. The normal is about 1000 tops and it drops to 800 in about a minute. I'm guessing it's the TPS or IAC, but I'll do the cleaning first because that just costs me some time and very cold fingers. If that doesn't solve it, I'll pick up a new TPS and hope that does the trick. seeing as I've had idling issues to some degree since day 1, it's quite possible the TPS or IAC weren't entirely up to snuff from the beginning.
Cleaned it all today. We actually hit 15F It was beautiful. And she's idling now too. I hope this problem is resolved, but I won't know for sure until next time we get a long cold snap.
