Default clutch squeak

when I turn my truck on a few seconds later I hear a faint squeak. I noticed when I engage the clutch the squeak will go away but as soon as I take my foot off the clutch the noise returns. I cant hear the noise while driving (exhaust drowns it out)this doesnt happen every time but is enough to bother me. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? thanks

My guess would be a throw out bearing. I heard the same squeal breifly one very cold morning leaving for work but that was the only time. Since you are still under warranty, I would definitely take it in for replacement warranty work. If the clutch bearing goes out, and I strongly suspect it will before long, you're dead in the water until it's replaced. This will require pulling the tranny and transfer case and drive lines (if 4X4) and exhaust.

thanks for the suggestion. I am planning on taking it in within two weeks for routine 6000 mile checkup. I will have them look at this
