Default Sound System for a 2dr Ram?

I have horrible speakers in my 05 ram ST... I think theres just two on each door panel ..really bad compared to my Cobalt cus it had a 7 Speaker stock pioneer system with a 10" woofer in the back, tweaters and 4 base speakers...GOD i miss it

What Can I do? Do you have to replace the stock deck to put a new speaker stsem in? I was thinking about just starting off with replacing the two stock door panel speakers with Pioneers and see how that sounds

speakers won't make a huge difference. because then you are still using the crappy stock deck that puts out a poor signal. a new head unit will give you a clean signal that you can tune and play with to make it sound good to your liking. two door rams at least the SLT that my old man has has two in the doors and two in the back side panels. a good set up for you would be a good set of component speakers in the front. 6 1/2" and then a set of coax in the rear, run them off of a 4channel amplifier and maybe down the line get a sub. you will need a good head unit though.i'd start by looking at the pioneer 49000head unit. that's a minimum for running an amplifier. without the sub that will sound phenomenol. maybe add a small 10 or 12 down the line to get some bass as well. you will still have bass without it just not a very deep bass or loud.

If you get pioneer speakers. don't get the A or G series. they suck *****. stick with the D series or PRS series. they are pricey though. 150 and up per pair.
