Is the truck your daily driver?
We have three cars, I drive the Truck every day, my wife drives her '97 Plymouth Breeze (152,000 miles on it, owned since new) and I also have a '68 Ford Galaxie 500 390BB, but she is put away till winter is over and all the salt is washed off the roads.
Believe it or not I get better MPG with my Ford than I do the truck, but I'm sure that is due to my VERY tall 2.75 rear. I can usually get 16-18 MPG on the highway crusing at 70mph.

i'm a 20 year old college student. don't know how i'd be able to swing a second vehicle, even if it got MUCH better gas mileage. pretty suremy insurance on a second vehicle would be just as bad as payin for the gas on my 1500.
i use my truck everyday. i usally drive 50 to 60 mph only on highway and get about 18 to 19 mpg hand calculated. i tend to drive closer to back of semi because no air pushing my engine to work harder.

As for me,the truck is parked ALL WEEK.I only drive it on the weekend or when it rains during the week.Other than that, it just sits there.
