Default MegaCab owners only"Please"

I'm thinking about trading my qc in for a mega cab. I'm curious what kind of mileage people are getting in their megacabs. I've looked in the mileage posting, but it takes forever to find the megacabs mileage. If you could post you city and highway mileage, I would appreciate it. Along with 2wd or 4wd and what gears. If you know you drive hard you might mention it. I'm debating between 2wd or 4wd because of my wife so I thought I would look into it. Thanks.

07 4wd 34" tires 3.73 gears - city mpg can range from 9-10.5 and hwy can range from 13-15 14-14.5 is avg. at 65-69mpg on a long trip - the slightest hill kills my truck - extremely undergeared! If you get the HEMI get the 4.10's which are optional or just install 4.56's which I think will be a perfect match for this truck. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I am also a conservative driver,I don't get on it much at all.

Thanks chongo, I want 4x4, but the misses is sure frowning with the mpg on the hemi. I have 2wd now, and she is ok. If it gets too low, she aint going to let me have it.

The 1st 1000 miles I was getting 13.3 then I installed the XDI cold air and went up to 89 octane. For the last 500 miles I've been right around 16mpg. I usually drive 70 on the highway with cruise on (MDS) and putt it around town.

The Mega Cab don't come with MDS, You get the FULL MEAL DEAL all the time. All 8all the time

I have an 08 4x4 with 3.73 and I'm around 10 in the city which is what I do mostly some short HWY driving but not enough to make a difference (i haven't recalibrated my speedo yet so it may be slightly better I'm think about 12). I'm usually conservtive but sometimes I like to stand on it. I also don't have a lot of miles on it yet

I had a 2006 with 3.73 4x4 2500 and got 11-12 city 13-15 highway (hills killed it) stock 265's
Now have a 2008 with 4.10 2500 and get 12-13 city 14-16 highway (hills don't matter as much as speed does now) stock 265's

I puta leveling kit on both and will be going to 305/75/17, wonder what I'll be getting them????

07 2500 4X4 w/4:10 gears and 6" superlift w/37" tires. I get around 10 in the city and 12-13 on highway. I highly recommend getting the 4:10 gears. I still have plenty of power to do what i want it to do.

How bad is it on Hills? I live in Oklahoma and of course we have hills. I do tow, but of course most of my driving is without anything behind my veh. I understand the 4:10 gears will help me tow and get up and go, but what about at highway speeds with nothing behind me? Am I going to struggle?

4.10's will be fine on the highway... even with stock tires..
