What would you pay for my truck
I think you guys are reaching just a little bit. I just traded in my 01, with all the bells and whistles. It had 80,000 miles in spectacular condition. The dealer only gave me $7,000 for it. I probably could of sold it for $10,000 if I held out. But in all honesty I think 15,000 is a little high. I live in Texas too, so the cost of living isn't super high down here. Oh well Jusy my opinion. Dont trade with the dealer unless you're looking to get shafted. Heres a pic of the truck I traded.

I'd agree with stanmantx. I got 10k for a 2005 single cab, long bed 4.7L with auto, 20k mi, with grill guard, headache rack, toolbox, 20's and tint.
Your price of 13.5K sounds about right. I am constantly looking at prices all across the country, and with those mods youcould expect to get about that.
I don't get the big deal about miles. What happened to the days when we expected vehicles to go to 200k no problem? I hardly put any miles on my truck except for boating and hunting season, so maybe thats why it doesn't bother me.

Here is what the Auction report most dealerships use for trade ins says:
Feb 1 - Feb 08 2008
Above Average Below
Auction $10,750 $8,875 $7,000
Est. Retail $12,150 $10,150 $8,100
Mods are tricky because most people who want a modded truck want to do it themselves and most buyers don't want a pre modified truck

With gas prices going up, I think you will have a hard time selling it at 15k. My friend finally caved in and let go his Silverado 2006 V8 lifted 20" wheels with superchips, for $12,000. It had 46k miles. The dealer wanted to give him $10k and told him that they will loose money cause trucks are not moving. They also used this infamous black book, that I think stealers created. It undervalues your truck by thousands more than blue book. I ran a check on my truck and I would get $8500 on the black book.

moparman2k2 is right. At most a dealer will give you a little over what it's going for at auction if they really want to close a deal. Definitely won't get over retail. And if you're selling it yourself, you won't get over retail b/c most people would rather buy from a trusted dealer than just some random person if you're comparing apples to apples for the same price.
Lastly, you'll see about .10 for every $1.00 you spent on mods most likely. Mods never pay off from a resale standpoint. I used to flip used cars for some time and just off hand I would have given you about 8,500. moparman2k2 confirms that my guesstimate would have been rather spot on.
