Default Need Help with 1/8th mile times

Hey guys, I have a 07 Dodge Ram (Big Horn Edition) QC 4.7L, I was thinking bout taking it to da dragstrip down in Irwindale. I wanted to know what times I would be getting for the 1/8th mile. Also, I heard something about dropping the tailgate helps for faster times, is this true? Thanks and all advice is welcome.

Take the gate off to help ever so slightly. Less weight the better.

I'd want the weight over the rear wheels for traction - that's a truck's worst enemy.

Go run it and see. It's fun, a lot of nice people. My Corvette ran 7:83 @ 97 mph at Irwindale. Probably could have done a lot better but I'm not a good driver. Corvette has a Procharger 473 rwhp 6 speed.
