This is something I did on my harley....If anyone wants to see let me know...

Most people have seen the white pearl paint (infamous on some cadillacs). Well I had this crazy idea of using a black candy base..... Take a look at tdmopars truck....looks black right...imagine as soon as the sun hits it it changes from black to a dark green, blue, red, pink, purple, orange and so on....You might think I am talking about chamillian or pearl paint but I am not.... Candy black color or any base color you want but it must be candy.....after about 4 or 5 coats.....spray it with the next color of candy the one you want to be seen in the sun..... this candy paint is not nearly asexpensive as chamillian paint and yet still have a crazy look to it.....on my bike i did the candy black with candy blue overcoat and ten pinstriped flames with more candy blue.....hence more top coat candy more vibrant the color.....for those of you who are still confused think of ghost flames...... here is a pic of my bike with the two coats...imagine it being just black cause thats what it looks liek unless its in the sun...bet you think i painted it dark blue not so.....

That would look sweet, how much would you be looking at for a paint job like that?

 

well it depends on how much clear coat and everything id say for a complete paint job on a dodge ram prolly around 2000-4000 but chamillian and pearl woul;d be close to 10000 done professionally..

 

it would be cool lookin.....but rememberyou wouldnt get your money back if you were to sell it later on....

 

A buddy of mine did that to his Toyota, but it's white and when the light hits it right you can see a touch of blue. Looks really cool. I always thought of doing something similar execpt with some type of graphic along the side instead of doing the whole truck.

 

id say just go with flat black, tinted windows, teflon wheels etc
