Before I put my light bar on I removed the plastic piece that goes around the spare tire hole. This way I was able to mount the bar flat and I still can access the spare tire.

It had to be too simple. I just didn't want to buy one to figure it out. Maybe I'll see if he still has it and wants to part with it. Thanks for the heads up.

Since we're on the topic of lighting...

Anyone have any comments about the RECON third brake light? I know you have it redramo5! Pics please!!

I ordered it and got it yesterday with my smoked cab lights. I'm planning on installing thesmoked cabs this weekend, but I'm worried about two things with the third brake light:

1) Does it look too ricey?

2) Does the dullness of the LED cargo light take away from the functionality of actually having a cargo light?

If You look In My Photo Gallery I Have A Sweet Up Top Shot of it.

I Really Don't Think It Looks Ricey At All. It Accents The Cab Lights Very Well...

And I Will Be Totally Honest With You, The Cargo Light SUCKS, It's Not Even A Cargo Light. Thats WHy They Sell These

Mine Should Be In By Next Week... They Are On Backorder - Supposibly They Are Sellin' Like Hot Cakes.

I don't mean to highjack the thread I just couldn't agree more!

The cargo light sucks. I spend a lot of time loading and unloading the bed of my truck for work and play and towing a utility trailer.

I had these installed because I do not remove the front of the trac rac. Three pole switch, on, off and reverse. It's a day time photo but it will light up the night.

Sorry, I was too busy trying to attach my first picture. I thought I was going for a "quote" but I posted the whole thing.

The bed lights are awesome! Might even add them. But for looking over the tailgate, into tool boxes, scuba/kayaking bags the third brake light/cargo light sucks.
