Cant find any 4.7L tuners .. Help please
best mod is the flowmaster 40, sounds perfect. Honestly, i have both trucks so i can say this,... My 4.7 is better engine than the HEMI, and all my friends ahve the hemi and nothin but knockin clicking and ticking noises coming out of that engine, including mine. not to mention my 4.7 dyno'd at 245 and all it has done is flowmaster and my hemi when it only had flows dyno'd at 270, i'd take the 4.7
i have a catalog of theirs and ill check what you need.....

its pre-set according to the setting you choose. unfortunatly with this...it has not been updated and doubtfuly ever will since its an older model truck. they use the out of date, non current max micro tuner, they advanced to the flashpaq and then the CORTEX. the shift points and other aspects do get changed from factory settings, you just cant set them specifically. very basic controller, you have your gain in HP, tuning capability, DTC code reader, fortunate for us, we have a trick in the odometer...on-off-on-off-on. displays the dtc's in the odometer...other than that it adjusts your tire size which is nice...
I just checked SCT. i didnt see anything directly to the 4.7 dodge ram. however i looked in FAQ's and it had updates for 96-04 4.7 RWD DCX's which is the dodge. if thats true, im gonna have to do some more research into SCT about 3rd gen. dodge ram 4.7's. I use SCT in my 05 ford f-350 superduty dually supercrew. its a 6.0 turbo diesel.....night and day with the programmer...over 100 HP gain from that, very happy with SCT's customer service and reliabilty as well
SCT currently supports '96 to '02 trucks with the jtec pcm. And srt10 trucks through the current year. A jtec pcm has 3 connectors on it. NGC started the 4 connector pcm's. SCT is working on the hemi pcm's now and a release is very close. I've done an '04 4.7 jeep that still had the old pcm style in it. If you have a 4.7 NGC pcm (4 connector), that is being worked on a little right now and will get more attention after the hemi stuff is released.
The shift points on an 03 don't get changed by any programmer -- they can't. It's a totally separate controller for 2003 only. Sure I'd like a few hundred more rpm up top but overall I still like the programmer.
