Default Dashhawk Performance Display

Ok - I did a quick search on the forum and really did not find much on it. I am really interested on the
"MSD DASHHAWK INFORMATION DISPLAY PERFORMANCE MONITOR"

This looks like a nice feature to have (specially when I tow, etc). Now, there is a website that says this will work on the 03 Ram 1500 with the 5.7l but MSD does not advertise it as compatable.

Has anyone tried this in the earlier model 3rd Gens with the Hemi?

Any insight would be helpful.

That looks really similar to the Edge Programmer. The Edge displays most of that stuff and you can customize the screen, etc. but it doesn't display quite as much. However for $100 extra you could have a tuner and display.

Looks kind neat. BUT, I'd be concerned about the ODBII cable. The connector is by my feet and I'd be worried about kicking getting in/out of truck. I figure it would be okay for a while, but in the long haul might become a nuisance.

The OBDII cable does not get in the away if tucked away neatly. My Edge is plugged in and the cable is routed right behind the plastic, attached to the back of the parking brake just as a tethering point, and runs up the fuse panel and then to the pod. You can't see any of the cable basically and the plug doesn't get in the way. I've yet to even touch it.

I would just like to find something that could work on the 03 models. We have the OBDII receptor but there is a different pin configuration. I am trying to do some homework on it.

Team

Sorry to be a pain. Has anyone tried this device on their 03's with the 5.7l?

Thanks
