Default 2005 Dodge Ram hubs????

Hello quick question for you all,
I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 4X4, After using four wheel drive to I need to back up 10 feet to unlock the front hubs?
Some say yes and most say no so Im not sure if I need to or not.

I Have The Same Year Truck.. I'd Say No, I Am Amazed at How Easy It Is To Shift My Truck Into and Out of 4WD.

no you don't have front locking hubs, all internal in t-case.

Is this the same for the 2004? I have an odd noise that is occurring in the front end under braking and as I was checking it out and noticed that the hubs were not unlocked, which led me to the question in this topic.

You dont have any locking hubs in 3rd gen rams unless you added them with an after market kit,and then I have only seen the kit for 2500's. When you shift into 4WD your front drive shaft is engauged from the transfer case and thats it. Your hubs are always engauged spinning your front axles and inturn spinning your front drive shaft in 2WD...
