Default Muffler offset and diameter 2008 v6 Ram (American Truck Noob)

2008 Ram 1500 v6 STX...currently at 330 miles

What is the offset for the muffler and the diameter so I can mate to the stock piping. I just want to replace the muffler itself and leave the pipes.

Maybe if you can suggest the correct flowmaster universal part number so I can get an idea on the I/O offsets. I cannot seem to find a good answer.

I have an appointment to have an eclipse stereo put in and I would like to hit the muffler shop the same day. Any help will be greatly appreciated....

Its 2.5 in. A muffler with inlet 2.5 will fit with a little gap, but will fit better than a 2.25. I slit the sides of the inlet of themuffler and put a clamp to tighten it. At least in the 2005, thats what I did.

I had a MIDAS branded RAVEN muffler put on. The stock piping on the 08 V6 is 3". Its sounds exactly like a turbo diesel. Kinda weird, but i'm used to it already.

It would be nice if you can post some sound bites and pics.
Thanks.
