do you have an aftermarket tuner? I have heard that some aftermarket tuners dump too much fuel and don't burn it off causing damage to things like the cats and o2 sensors.

for an easy fix, try putting that carb/injector cleaner in your next tank of gas...

best way to check for a damaged cat is to shake it.. if you hear any sort of rattle.. it needs to be replaced. misfire could be caused by so many factors, id start with the cheapest fix and work my way up until it disappears. good luck!!

om well im going to check my spark plugs later today or tomorrow sometime...i read it could be the coil packs, plugs, wires, or even the cats.....it said if the cats are bad they would have low air coming out...it has a lot of air coming out but it smells very bad. im in desperate need for help!

take it to the shop and have them hook it up to a scanner. a reputable shop will do this for free. have them run it through data stream and tell you what all your specs are. they can tell you everything fromo2 senser output to exhaust flow and temp. they can also buzz all the injector to ensure there's no problem there. that will keep from throwing money at an unknown problem.

Before you start pulling the ignition stuff apart, try this. After it gets dark outside, or in the garage with the lights off, get a spray bottle with water in it. Spray the wires for the plugs with the engine running, if it looks like there is any sparking from the wires to the engine metal coponents, you need new wires. It kinda sounds to me like your wires are gone and you may be getting some cross firing, and/or grounding of the spark voltage to the chasis (engine). Simple check to verify wires.
