Default Stock Stereo issues....

I have an 07 Ram with the Single CD/Sat radio... and the other day i noticed that my time had reset itself... and also all the sounds setting have gone back to zeros... Anyone know what caused this? does it happen often? or is it a dealer issue?

More than likely the truck is trying to tell you it doesn't like rap music. Try to program some country music and see f the problem continues.......

Honestly, it COULD (hignly unlikely) but could be a partially blown fuse. When the vehicle is on it has enough power to jump the gap, but off the power fails and resets your radio. Check all fuses and Cylenoids, and everything. Not just the radio ones either. In today's vehicles, many systems RUN through the radio and any one failing could cause the radio to reset. Also check your battery cables, if they are loose it may be the problem too

Eww.... country? what a load.... anyways.. it does'nt do it all the time.. just did it once.. SO i can't see how a fuse would be the problem... I was wondering if maybe the radios were shorting themselves out.. or if it was just a freak incident...

If it doesn't happen again I say freak accident. Really just wait and see, worst case you have to reset your time.

Has it ever had the radio wiring messed with, or is it still untouched from stock? Sounds like someone hooked it up wrong, wired the 12v constant wire to the switched. If that's the case, everytime you turn the truck off, it's like unhooking the battery.

If he does that, the whole truck might shut down...[:'(]
