I noticed that in the cold weather my Hemi seems to knock when it is first started up on cold mornings or when it has been sitting for some time when it is cold out. First thing I did was check the oil and it is perfect. It is definitely not the Hemi tick that still annoys the hell outta me, especially when you pull up next to a Ford and the damn truck is just ticking away (POS).

Anyway, wondering if anyone else is suffering from the knocking. I will be taking it in to the dealer to have them look at it but wanted to see if anyone else had these symptoms and if they were easily fixed.

 

Is it like a lifter knock, does it get quieter after just seconds or does it take awhile?

 

takes a minute or two to quiten down....sad cause it makes my friends beat up nissan frontier sound better
