Help. My tranny is dead!
Hey guys,
I was driving home last night on the freeway cruising around ~55 andI noticed cars were passing me. I gave it some gas and my rpm's flew up. WTF?!?!? I pulled over on the shoulder, checked my trans fluid level. It was close to full. I put it in drive and I took off, gained speed to about 50 mph and my rpm's went flying. Stopped one more time and took off. This time I was only able to get up to 20 mph [:@]Pulled over, called for a tow truck. No matter what gear selection,1,2,D or R. The trans would not engage. Talk to my mechanic today after he looked at my truck and I need a tranny. Any recommendations for a rebuilt trannyor any other suggestions.

I don't have anything helpful to add - just wanted to say "nice Supra." My brother had a 94 and we did the SP57 turbo along with a FMIC, torque converter & built auto. It managed a little over 500whp at 19 psi on pump and 11.70s @ 121+ mph, all with no sacrifice in drivability that's typical of the big-power Supras with autos.
