Default fuel pump

I've got a 3.7 v6 and I think I need to replace the fuel pump. Does anybody know where its at and how to get to it?

Its in the fuel tank. Have to drop the tank or remove the bed.

How many miles on it? Do you often run it VERY low on fuel before you refill? If the mileage is fairly high and you do "run it on fumes", the pump may be bad. They last a long time, though. Your mention of throttle body is probably valid. Way easier and cheaper than a fuel pump.

Default RE: fuel pump

wat was the code???

fuel pump is either working or not. and after pulling mine, im not buying the low fuel= pump not getting cooled theory. there is a "baffle" that rises and falls around the pump were gas is sucked into. even when you pull the pump out, its still completly sumberged in gas within this baffle. makes for a messy job too. not sayin your wrong on that mikehtally, just not convinced on our rams that the pump is left high and dry when fuel gets low.

deffinatly clean anything in the air tract first, like was said, cheaper and first step in figurin out wat the prob is. oh AFTER you tell us the dtc
