Default Speaker install question

Ok a few people told me when you buy aftermarket speakers for a 05 ram theres no crimping or sottering ..you just connect the connector? And now I am reading the wires need to be connected with a little bit of work. Does anyone know the real deal here because I am going to atempt this tommarow before I go to work. I will probably have like 4 hours so I dont want to run into anyproblems before I have to leave. I pretty much understand now how to take the panel off so now my only concern is connecting the speakers and hopefully accurate fitting. I never installed car audio until a few weeks back. I did the deck myself so hopefully I can do this also. I went with Pioneer 6x9 5 ways

I replaced my stock door speakers with after market speakers and I had to cut the plug off the wires in the door and splice in the new wires that come with the speakers. With removing the door panel and working on the speakers 30 minutes tops

I haven't replaced my Dodge speakers yet, but if they have wires with connectors coming off the speakers, you have the option of using them if you are not running new speaker wires. Either unsolder or cut the wires where they connect to the speaker, then attach the wires to your new speakers. That way, you haven't cut any wires inside your truck.

I did not disconnect the battery. I have 2002 and the after market speakers will not accept the connection the manufacture installed at the time. The plug that I’m referring to, plugs into the factory installed speakers and after market speakers will not have this option.
